In keeping with its policy of ongoing evolution, INALCO has channelled its efforts into a new décor project: under the slogan ‘Feel like home’, it has come up with INALCO CASA, settings in which ceramic tiles blend in to form part of a harmonious whole, a pulsing, dynamic ambience characterised by a functional and attractive space where the floor and wall represent a continuation of the exterior. An adaptation of an alternative vision of architecture and design within a new concept of sustainable interior design.

INALCO boasts more than 30 years’ experience in the ceramic tile sector.

Differentiation lies at the core of the company’s development, which is strategically centred on design and innovation in its processes, products and services.

INALCO has specialised in the design and production of large format and designer ceramic tile series, and was the first company to produce porcelain tiles in formats such as 100x130, 100x100, 80x120, 80x80 and 60x120 cm.

INALCO is deeply committed to its stakeholders and the environment, and is renowned for its corporate social responsibility; indeed, between 40 and 50% of the materials used in the production of its porcelain tiles have been recycled.

Under the ECOINALCO trademark and as part of its commitment to caring for the environment, INALCO applies the INALCO CLEAN SYSTEM treatment to the full range of 33x100 format tiles. This water-repellent finish effectively prevents dirt and humidity from accumulating, keeping the tiles cleaner and reducing the amount of water and cleaning agents required.

In 2005, INALCO was the first company in the world to develop and implement a digital decorating system for ceramic tiles, known as IPLUS.

IPLUS Digital Technology is based on CMYK ink printing techniques, traditionally used in graphic arts. Indeed, with IPLUS all types of designs can be printed on the tile surface with an excellent level of digital definition, which was impossible with traditional decorating systems such as screens and rollers.

In this sense, IPLUS broadens the spectrum of ceramic tile decoration, allowing for far more creative, realistic and original designs. It is now possible to reproduce all types of materials, designs or images – it all depends on the designer’s imagination.

OPENING UP A WHOLE NEW WORLD OF POSSIBILITIES

At Cevisama 2009, INALCO presented its SLIMMKER porcelain tile range, a number of super-slim tiles series decorated with IPLUS and thicknesses ranging from 4 to 6 mm.

SLIMMKER tiles are easy to lay, and create unique and highly original settings. Other advantages include energy savings during the production process, a reduction in the amount of fuel needed for manufacturing and transport, plus less packaging and ink.

This year INALCO has come up with remarkable new series and new large formats. Its range of collections and SLIMMKER formats are being extended, because innovation is one of INALCO's key watchwords.

Two new large formats, 100x130 and 100x100, have been added to its SLIMMKER slimline series. This second format has also been incorporated into INALCO's other tile series of a conventional thickness.

The SLIMMKER series stand out for the reduced thickness of the tiles and their low weight. They come in two slimline thicknesses: 4.3 mm for the 45x90cm SLIMMKER format and 5.7 mm for the 100x130, 100x100, 80x80 and 60x120 SLIMMKER formats.

Last but not least, INALCO has come up with yet another amazing innovation, SLIMMKER-FLOOR.

This new range of SLIMMKER flooring offers a new solution in slimline floor tiles.

SLIMMKER-FLOOR

INALCO presents SLIMMKER-Floor, a new range of Slimmker flooring.

In addition to the numerous benefits synonymous with Slimmker, such as its reduced thickness, variety of large formats (from 45x90 to 100x130cm), lighter weight, and easy handling and installation, SLIMMKER-Floor tiles also feature a high mechanical resistance and high breaking strength, surpassing the values obtained with floor tiles of a conventional thickness.

This makes SLIMMKER-Floor an ideal choice as flooring indoors and out, for both private and public use.

Like all the SLIMMKER range, SLIMMKER-Floor is decorated using IPLUS Digital Technology, ensuring a wide choice of patterns and textures.

NEW SERIES

In keeping with the current trend for natural stone, INALCO is currently presenting three new 60x120cm series: the AVIANA series, which emulates matt stone in a choice of cream or grey, and the SERPENTINE and VALMA series, in a polished green and polished grey finish respectively. Both the latter can be inter-combined.

In its new 26x80 format, the NOMAD series reproduces a type of natural slate with a pronounced embossed pattern in a choice of four colours: blanco mate, piedra mate, gris mate and negro mate

MAGMA is a new series, available in the new 100x100cm large format. It emulates basaltina, a volcanic stone, in its natural shade of grey and in two new colours, beige and moka. The series comes in a natural or polished finish.

ICONE FRACTAL and ICONE MALLA are two new series in an 80x80 format and bush-hammered finish. Thanks to the broad design potential that SLIMMKER offers, the tiles feature a cut-out latticework effect, creating interplay with embossing and double depths. Both series open up the gateway to new tile applications, since they can be used for decorating living spaces and even for separating settings. They come in the following colours: blanco mate, crema mate, piedra mate, camel mate, gris mate and negro mate.

Within the Slimmker range, the ORIGAMI and SENDAI series come in the new 100x130cm format in a choice of blanco, perla, camel or negro.

The ORIGAMI series features a subtle embossed pattern inspired by the creases in paper when it is unfolded.

The SENDAI series emulates plaited fibre netting, in thick yarn, with a strong pattern that looks good whatever the setting.

The FOSTER series has been extended to include the Slimmker 100x130cm and 100x100cm slimline formats and a 100x100cm format of a conventional thickness.

The INALCO-BUNCH collection presents the 30x60cm BARCODE and STAINED series, with heavily contrasting textures. They feature an uneven, shiny embossed pattern on a matt background in the following colours: white-white, black-white, brown-brown, black-brown, white-black and black-black.

Also new to the INALCO-BUNCH collection is the new 60x120cm STRIPES series, with thin embossed stripes, together with the 45x90cm RAW series. Both come in a choice of white, pearl, khaki and black.

The Damasco series has been extended to incorporate a new colour, blanco mate, in a 60x60cm format.

Pyrene, a 60x120 series launched in early 2010, has been extended to incorporate double-depth mesh-mounted mosaics in a 20x60 format. The Pyrene series emulates black slate to superb natural effect, thanks to its embossed pattern, which reproduces the flat stones and thin sheets characteristic of slate. INALCO is the first company to print white on black with IPLUS Digital Technology to emulate stone veining. The use of this new ink represents a big step forward since it opens up new decorative potential with IPLUS.

INALCO has added a new 45x90cm decor to the SLIMMKER collection's VELINA series in a choice of four colours (blanco, piedra, camel and negro), together with three mesh-mounted multicoloured mosaics.
