PIETRA SERENA

La pietra SERENA in natura è una pietra arenaria di colore grigiastro con venature azzurre, più compatta e più cementata, a grana fine. Il largo uso di questo materiale forte e durevole è in continua evoluzione sia nel campo dell'edilizia ex novo che nel campo del restauro e del recupero urbano.
Pietra Serena di Ceramiche Coem è la versione contemporanea di questa pietra utilizzata già nel passato dai Maestri dell’architettura italiana. L’effetto visivo e tattile ottenuto con il gres porcellanato è di grande somiglianza all’originale, al punto da far dimenticare che non si tratta di una pietra vera. E come la pietra vera, è presentata nei diversi modi di lavorazione: oltre alla versione Naturale, abbiamo l’effetto Seta, Scalpellato e Fiammato.

Il decoro Macro abbinato è la novità di punta per questa collezione.

PIETRA SERENA DECORO MICRO/MACRO: La nuova idea decorativa di Ceramiche Coem

Partendo da una riflessione sulla natura degli spazi e dei luoghi della vita e dell’architettura contemporanea, M+A+P designstudio ha messo a punto per Ceramiche Coem un nuovo concept sulla decorazione/texturizzazione contemporanea: quello della macrodecorazione.

L’idea di partire da una variazione di scala della decorazione del supporto ceramico per rivestimento viene dall’osservazione sulla natura sempre più ibrida che caratterizza  sia gli spazi interni che  quelli interni/esterni (si pensi alle gallerie commerciali, ai grandi spazi semipubblici coperti, …).

Il prodotto è pensato dunque per tutti quegli spazi che, per la loro scala (decisamente più grande di quella domestica) e per la loro caratterizzazione funzionale (né interno né esterno), hanno la necessità di poter agire sulla variazione di scala percettiva.

La prima  linea di decori su cui viene sperimentata la serie è MACRO/MICRO che si ispira alla grafica puntinista astratta degli anni ‘60/’70. Il motivo di ispirazione naturale (le foglie) viene raffreddato attraverso un trattamento di riduzione del tratto a punto.

Il risultato è un decoro che nella versione BASE, nel formato standard del fondo (60x60) su cui è trasferito, si lascia cogliere da una prospettiva normale, ravvicinata, mentre nella versione EXTENDED, ingrandita (e che quindi riproduce il decoro su di un modulo quadrato di 4 pezzi 60x60), necessita di un allontanamento dello sguardo, di una prospettiva più lontana per essere colto pienamente, rendendolo adatto quindi anche all’uso in quegli spazi semipubblici collettivi descritti sopra.

Con il Decoro MACRO/MICRO Ceramiche Coem promuove una nuova visione dei rivestimenti architettonici da interni e interni/esterni basata su una concordanza/giustapposizione delle scale del decoro per creare giochi di connessione/sfalsamento prospettico.

Questo principio verrà  indagato e ulteriormente approfondito  con  lo sviluppo di futuri  decori della serie che si arricchirà  di nuove proposte.

AXIS

Questo ambizioso progetto si pone l’obiettivo di portare un materiale mai trattato prima da Ceramiche Coem nel carnet delle scelte pensate per pavimenti e rivestimenti tecnici: il legno.

Non si tratta dunque di una pietra, ma l’approccio alla materia è il medesimo di sempre: trattare un elemento naturale in tutte le possibili sfaccettature, ricercandone le finiture e le proposte più versatili e ricche per l’arredo contemporaneo, riproponendolo con lo stesso grado di accuratezza raggiunto da Ceramiche Coem dal punto di vista tecnico e del design.

Il legno di Axis è il risultato di una selezione tra le molteplici superfici così come sono trattate nella lavorazione naturale, che la tecnologia Coem permette di riprodurre in lastre una diversa dall’altra. La scelta è caduta su una finitura naturale morbidissima nei tre colori Chiaro, Dorato e Bruno, e nelle importanti dimensioni 15x120 e 20x120.

Ma novità ancora più avvincente è la versione Graffito, un’interpretazione “graffiata” della lavorazione a taglio sega del legno, estremamente moderna ed intensa. Il Mosaico In-Out , una composizione a due livelli in 35x60, ideale per rivestimento, aggiunge una nota compositiva alla serie Axis, permettendole una possibilità di combinazioni creative che potranno essere apprezzate sullo stand del Cersaie  2010. Axis costituirà la pavimentazione dell’area centrale, a far da legante a tutte le altre nuove serie in pietra, a dimostrazione della capacità di adattarsi ad ogni stile che il legno in gres porcellanato possiede.

PIETRA SPLENDENTE: la stessa bellezza anche nel caldo tono beige

L’intramontabile forza e bellezza del marmo lucidato anche nella calda e lussuosa versione Onice Ambra. La particolare luminosità della Pietra Splendente, data da un basso indice di rifrazione dei materiali che la compongono, regala una meravigliosa superficie levigata, con venature e striature dal particolare effetto “specchiato”, mantenendo lo stesso grado di variabilità proprio della materia naturale, ma con potenziate qualità estetiche e tecnologiche che solo il Gres Porcellanato può garantire.

Il sistema Deep High Definition 3D, ideato da  Ceramiche Coem per ottenere questi particolari effetti tridimensionali, è il risultato di una sequenza di processi e tecnologie all’avanguardia che coinvolgono l’intero ciclo produttivo.

Come nei colori Calacatta, Bardiglio e Antique Brown, anche Pietra Splendente Onice Ambra è disponibile nei  formati 60x60, 30x60 e 30x30.

PIETRA DI NUXE

Il nome richiama una piccola località vicina a Digione, dove sono presenti le cave di una particolare pietra di Borgogna caratterizzata da tipici ramage e colori dorati. Molto usata dall’architettura francese, che ne apprezza da sempre proprio le morbide venature, la Pietra di Nuxe è proposta da Ceramiche Coem in una morbida finitura e nelle sue tonalità calde

Oltreché nel classico 60x60, Pietra di Nuxe è proposta anche nei formati  61,4x61,4, 40,8x61,4, 40x60, 40x40 e 20x20, una novità per Coem.

PIETRA SERENA

In nature PIETRA SERENA is a fine-grain greyish coloured sandstone with blue veins running through it, more compact and concrete. The widespread use of this strong, long-lasting material is continually evolving, both for new buildings and for renovation and urban redevelopment projects.

Pietra Serena by Ceramiche Coem is the contemporary version of this stone, already used in the past by the greats of Italian architecture. The visual and tactile effect obtained by using porcelain stoneware is so similar to the original that it is difficult to tell them apart. And just like the natural stone, it can be worked in various ways: in addition to the Matte version, we also have the Silk, Chiselled, and Flamed finishes. 

The matching Macro decor is the major new development in this collection.

PIETRA SERENA WITH MICRO/MACRO DECOR: The new decorative idea by COEM

Starting out from a reflection on the nature of living spaces and environments and on contemporary architecture, M+A+P designstudio has developed a new contemporary decoration/texturing concept for Ceramiche Coem: macrodecoration.

The idea of starting out from a variation in the scale of decor elements on ceramic wall covering supports comes from close observation of the increasingly hybrid nature of both interior and interior/exterior areas (such as shopping malls, large semi-public roofed areas, etc…).

The product is therefore designed for all those areas that, because of their scale (far larger than the domestic environment) and because of their particular functional characteristics (neither entirely indoor nor entirely outdoor), must be able to act on the variation of the scale of perception.

The first decor line the series has been experimented on is MACRO for the PIETRA SERENA series, which is inspired by the abstract, pointillist graphics of the Sixties and Seventies. The nature-inspired motif (the leaves) is cooled using a method that reduces the stroke to a point.

The result is a decoration that in the BASE version, in the standard 60x60 – 24”x24” size of the base tile it is transferred onto, is evident from a normal, close perspective, while in the larger, EXTENDED version (which reproduces the decor on a square module composed of 4 60x60 – 24”x24” pieces), the decor must be observed from a greater distance to be seen clearly. This makes it suitable for use also in the semi-public, collective areas mentioned above.

With MACRO, COEM promotes a new vision of architectural coverings for interiors and interior/exterior areas, based on a correspondence/juxtaposition of the different scales of the decoration designed to create effects that alternately link/stagger the perspective.

This principle will be looked into in further with the development of the upcoming decorations in the series, set to include a range of additional new options.

AXIS

The aim of this ambitious project is to bring a material never before used by Coem into the range of options conceived for technical floor and wall coverings: wood.

This is not a stone, but the approach to the material remains unchanged, and the process involves treating a natural element in all its possible aspects in order to recreate the finishes it features and come up with a versatile range of contemporary decor options able to boast the same degree of precision achieved by Ceramiche Coem from a technical and design point of view.

The wood used for Axis is the result of a selection of a wide range of surfaces just as they are shaped by nature, with Coem technology making it possible to reproduce those finishes on slabs that differ from one another. An extra-soft natural finish was chosen for the slabs, available in the large 15x120 – 6”x47” and 20x120 – 8”x47” sizes, and in three colours: Chiaro, Dorato and Bruno.

An even more spectacular new option, however, is the Graffito version, a “scratched” interpretation of the saw-cut wood look, with an extremely intense, modern appearance. Mosaico In-Out , a 35x60 – 13^½”24” two-level composition, ideal for walls, adds a decorative touch to the Axis series, allowing for creative combinations that can be admired at the Cersaie  2010 stand. Axis will be featured on the floor of the central area, acting as a linking element for all the other new series in stone, thus illustrating the ability of porcelain stoneware wood coverings to adapt to all kinds of styles.

PIETRA SPLENDENTE: the very same beauty now comes in a warm shade of beige

The timeless strength and beauty of polished marble, now in the luxuriously warm Onice Ambra version. The particular brightness of Pietra Splendente, the result of the low refractive index of the materials it is made up of, creates a marvellous polished surface, with veining and streaking that create an unusual “mirror” effect, maintaining the same degree of variability typical of the natural material and combining it with the top-quality aesthetic and technological qualities that only Porcelain Stoneware is able to guarantee.

The Deep High Definition 3D system, conceived by Ceramiche Coem to achieve these particular 3D effects, is the result of a sequence of cutting-edge processes and technologies that involve the entire production cycle.

As for the colours Calacatta, Bardiglio and Antique Brown, Pietra Splendente Onice Ambra also comes in the following sizes:  60x60 – 24”x24”, 30x60 – 12”x24” and 30x30 – 12”x12”.

PIETRA DI NUXE

The name derives from a small place near Dijon, where there are quarries with a particular type of Burgundy stone, characterised by typical ramage effects and golden colours. Widely used in French architecture, which has long since appreciated precisely this soft veining effect, Ceramiche Coem offers Pietra di Nuxe in a soft finish and warm shades.

In addition to the classic 60x60 – 24”x24” size, Pietra di Nuxe also comes in the 61,4x61,4 – 24”x24”, 40,8x61,4 – 16”x24”, 40x60 – 16”x24”, 40x40 – 16”x16” and 20x20 – 8”x8” sizes, a new size for Coem.
