WHAT IS NANOTECH?

The search for new technological advances in the production of porcelain has resulted in Apavisa developing a new innovative product in this material.

A product with the technical and static advantages of porcelain tiles but with just 4,8 mm. nominal thickness. In addition, it is a sustainable product that reduces the environmental impact and offers economical, logistical and fixing advantages.

That is Nanotech

Easy to handle and install

Thanks to its reduced weight (1 m2 = 11,5 Kg), Nanotech is versatile, easy to handle and to work with, especially the bigger sizes.

Its thin thickness is easier to cut and drill which also makes installation easier.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS.

The technology used in our production plant features the latest advances introduced in the production of porcelain.

Nanotech has the technical characteristics of porcelain tiles, having an excellent resistance to abrasion, an almost zero water absorption value (+/- 0,1 %), frost proof, chemical and stain resistance properties.

All Nanotech collections are rectified with a single calibre that allows a combination of different collections and colours to be used in the same project, providing the possibility of combining Nanotech with the other technical collections of the Apavisa range of products.

APAVISA, NEW MEMBER OF U.S. GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL.

Apavisa has received notification as an accepted member of U.S. Green Building Council.

The U.S. GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL with more than 15,000 member organisations from the construction sector, works to promote buildings that are environmentally friendly, productive and healthy locations where to live and work.

The classification system of sustainable Leed (Leader in energy efficiency and sustainable design) from the US green Building Council is a classification system that allocates points for a given environmentally friendly category, to satisfy specific criteria of sustainable construction.

True to it’s commitment and environmental awareness by developing new processes that are ECO-productive, recycling and the use of non-polluting materials, allows Apavisa to manufacture different category environmentally products, concerning sustainable issues, materials and techniques, water efficiency, atmosphere and energy, quality interior environment, innovation and design, that are applied to a building for obtaining a Leed certificate.

Apavisa is a company dedicated to the manufacture and marketing of extremely high quality porcelain stoneware. The objective of Apavisa is to offer exclusive products, that combine the skilful form with technique and design.

Apavisa Porcelanico facilities are completed with a product showroom which covers an area of more than 1,550 square meters and is dedicated, monographically, to the porcelain tile. The show-room is intended and designed to be an effective working tool for professional clients, such as architects and designers.

In this showroom it is possible to examine the main applications of the porcelain and to verify its decorative capacity. In this way, professionals can appreciate, in-situ, the different textures from the pieces or the diversity of chromatic effects which can be obtained thanks to this versatile covering which is suitable for any use.

The latest technological application of production methods and careful controls made throughout the process, allows Apavisa to offer excellent technical benefits to the market, after the porcelain has been converted into a high quality, non-absorbent, comfortable and uncomplicated covering product.
The micro-sealing, mono-calibre, enormous resistance to flexion (61 N/mm²), very low absorption (+/- 0.1), frost resistance and the resistance to surface wear are technical characteristics that distinguish the porcelain tile of Apavisa. For these reasons, among many other considerations, it is a clean and hygienic product.

A new collection based on the union of semi-precious stones, metals and stone, making a new material in terms of aesthetics, original and surprising. All this with the technical qualities of high technical porcelain.

Available in Black and Grey colours, 60x60 – 30x60 size and lappato finish (semi-polished). Also we present special pieces like mosaics 2,5 x2, 5 monochrome and mixed in a combination of a exclusive glass (gold and metal) for each color, thus broadening the concept of class and distinction that brings us this collection.

Apavisa following your system environmental management, is attached to this proposal, using recycled materials and products manufactured respecting the nature. Particularly in the manufacture of the Outdoor collection is used up to 40% recycled material and saves 22% of primary energy derived from cogeneration process.

This collection is presented as a fusion of cement and wood, contemporary and natural, city and country, recreating a smooth texture that conveys the warmth and touch of natural materials.
